The Mendip Woodland Dual Control Stove is a compact, beautifully made wood burner from a family-run Somerset manufacturer with a well-earned reputation for quality at an accessible price. Built with a sturdy steel body and a cast iron door, it looks and feels like a stove that will last, yet it burns cleanly and efficiently thanks to a dual-control air system that gives you precise, straightforward management of your fire.

A tertiary air feed supports post-combustion, helping extract maximum energy from every log, while a heated air wash system keeps the glass clear so the flames are always on show. The generously sized firebox accepts regular cut logs with ease, making it a practical everyday stove for most living rooms and open-plan spaces. Every Woodland stove meets the Ecodesign 2022 standard, the current UK and European benchmark for lower-emission, more environmentally responsible burning.

Mendip also donates £10 from every stove sold to the Woodland Trust, funding the planting of three native UK trees. It is a small but genuine contribution to protecting ancient woodland and wildlife habitats for future generations.

Variant Options

• Standard: Suitable for use in rural areas and locations not designated as Smoke Control Zones. The right choice if you are outside a controlled area and want the full flexibility of the Woodland's air management system.
• SE (Smoke Exempt): DEFRA-approved for use in Smoke Control Areas, including most UK towns and cities. Choose this variant if your property falls within a Smoke Control Zone.
