The Mendip Ashcott Pedestal Wood Stove is a compact, pedestal-mounted burner that pairs understated elegance with genuine heating performance. Its clean silhouette sits as comfortably in a traditional cottage as it does in a modern living room, making it a quietly confident choice for a wide range of interiors.

At the heart of the Ashcott is a precision-milled stainless steel air control lever, giving you accurate command over your burn and helping to maximise both heat output and fuel efficiency. The door closes via a smooth magnetic mechanism, complemented by matching stainless hinges and a co-ordinated door handle for a refined, cohesive finish. A direct external air connection comes fitted as standard, drawing fresh combustion air from outside rather than from within your living space.

With a comfortable 4.7kW heat output and an efficiency rating of 80%, the Ashcott is well suited to most standard-sized rooms. It is SIA Ecodesign Ready and features Cleanburn technology, meaning it meets and surpasses current UK emissions requirements. The stove qualifies as a Cool Hearth appliance and accepts both top and rear flue exit via a 5 inch (125mm) flue diameter.

Variant Options

• Smoke Exempt (SE): Approved for use in Smoke Control Areas. Choose this variant if your property is in a designated zone where only authorised appliances may be used. Check your local council if you are unsure.
• Standard: Suitable for properties outside Smoke Control Areas. A straightforward choice if there are no local burning restrictions in place.
