A conventional flue model suits homes with an existing chimney, making it an ideal like-for-like replacement for an older open fire. The balanced flue version requires no chimney at all, venting directly to the outside through a twin-wall pipe, which opens the door to installation in new builds or rooms where a flue was never installed.
