Designed for media walls

This fire is one of our most popular media wall electric fires, made to integrate seamlessly into a stud or built-in wall. To plan your aperture, the unit requires an opening of 558mm wide by 495mm high, with an inset rebate of 145mm that includes 12mm of clearance. The overall dimensions are 133mm deep, 584mm wide and 495mm high. As an electric appliance, it needs no flue or chimney, so installation is clean and straightforward. If you intend to mount a television above the fire, always allow sufficient clearance and follow the manufacturer guidance for both products to keep everything safe.

Flame realism and control

The Rodwell uses an LED flame effect that flickers convincingly across its glowing log bed, giving you the character of a real fire without the upkeep. There are five flame dimmer settings, so you can fine-tune the brightness and intensity to match the time of day. A flame-only mode lets you enjoy the visual warmth right through the milder months without switching on the heater. Everything is managed from the supplied remote control, including a 7-day programmable thermostat, so you can set your routine and forget about it.

Heat and running cost

With a 2kW thermostatic heater, the Rodwell warms your room efficiently and holds your chosen temperature. At a typical UK electricity rate of around 25p per kWh in late 2025, running the heater at full output costs roughly 50p per hour, and far less on lower settings. When you run the flame effect on its own, costs drop to just a few pence per hour, making it an economical way to enjoy the ambiance year round.
