Deben S Small Full Cast Iron Stove

The Deben S from Pevex is a compact, full cast iron stove designed with classical styling that suits smaller fireplace openings or rooms where a modest heat output is all that is needed. Its neat proportions allow it to fit comfortably into the majority of standard fireplaces, while the flue collar — mounted over the rear edge of the top plate — is thoughtfully positioned to clear a lintel with ease.

Constructed entirely from cast iron and lined with vermiculite fire brick, the Deben S delivers consistent, efficient combustion. A nominal output of 4.3kW sits within a flexible range of 3 to 6kW, making it well suited to smaller living spaces. Efficiency ratings of 79.3% on wood and 80% on anthracite reflect the stove's strong thermal performance, aided by tertiary air for cleanburn combustion and a secondary airwash system that keeps the glass door clear for an uninterrupted view of the flame.

Primary, secondary, and tertiary air controls give precise management of the burn, and an 80mm external air connection allows the stove to draw fresh air from outside the room where required. Logs up to 250mm in length are easily accommodated within the vermiculite-lined chamber.

The Deben S carries full DEFRA approval for use in smoke control areas and meets the Ecodesign 2022 requirements, making it a compliant and future-ready choice. It is a stove that combines traditional good looks with modern efficiency standards — an ideal centrepiece for any smaller hearth.
